A Loud Thud With His Parents!
My parents-in-law were overjoyed when we finally broke the news of my three months pregnancy to them. So they decided to treat my hubby and I for a lunch. On our proposed date, I had a lot of tasks at my workplace and I got half an hour late. When I finally arrived at the chosen venue, I got nervous for two reasons: I could not locate the others immediately and the seats were high stools. I had come to develop a fear of high seats since I increased weight. But then, I was determined to make the best of our celebration time. My hubby waved his hand towards me and I excitedly made my way towards them, greeted them and quickly prepared to sit. Before I knew it, my seat and I came tumbling down in a loud thud! I quickly brushed off the accident and joined the other in ordering a meal. But my mum-in-law was not willing to take chances and she insisted on rushing me to a medical facility. At the hospital, the doctor wanted to know every detail of the episode. Doctors want to know everything!

‘Foul’ Act
My husband and I got playful one night before bed. I tried my best to be as sexy as possible without allowing the fact that I was almost eight months pregnant stop me. While my husband was getting romantic, a big blow of air escaped from my very behind. My poor husband’s face was literally in the line of fire! Interestingly, it did not distract him! Later, we talked about the ‘foul’ act and had a good giggle.

INDIGESTION BABY
When we got married, my husband and I decided to waif for at least one year before having kids since I was still in college. One evening, six months later, I felt a kick like that of a growing baby on the left side of my belly. I gulped in shock and dismay thinking I had been too busy with my studies to realize that I was pregnant. In panic, I switched off my favorite television soap opera.

My husband looked at me quizzically to establish why I had developed a sudden change of mind. I smiled to assure him that nothing was amiss then quickly mumbled my good night and ran to sleep.

I went for a pregnancy test the following morning and it turned out negative. I felt relief but was puzzled by the ‘kicking baby’. The doctor explained that indigestion causes that feeling and could have been the cause. I had only misdiagnosed myself! I later explained my previous behavior to my husband who had a hearty laugh about my ‘indigestion baby’!

SPARE MY BABY!
I am a quiet and reserved person whilst my husband is outgoing and quite social. Though these same traits drew me to him, sometimes he annoys and embarrasses people around him because of his playfulness. For instance, when I was expecting our first born son, my husband informed me that he would travel upcountry for two days. In the evening. I went to while time away with my friends to avoid spending lonely hours in the house.

Eventually, I arrived home late. All along my hubby was in the house and as I struggled to find a way to the electricity switch, he grabbed me from behind the door. I let out a piercing scream thinking that an intruder was in the house and was about to harm me. I shouted. ‘I am pregnant! Help! Spare my baby! Spare my baby!’

Before he could calm me down and reveal his identity, neighbours had come rushing to our house!

NEW SOCKS
During my second pregnancy, I was so busy with my career and studies that I almost forgot attending to family matters. When my mother-in-law gave us a visit, she noticed and informed me that my firstborn seven-year-old son had run out of socks and he needed more.

The next Saturday, I went with him to purchase several pairs and even encouraged him to wear one. On our way back, he smiled to the person we sat next to in the matatu and happily told him. ‘Mum just bought me some new socks after a long time!’

Passengers turned to look at me with questions written all over their faces!
