Shy moment 35

Parking trouble

A few months of my third pregnancy, after doing some shopping with my older kids, my brain just could not figure out how to back out of a parking space. I couldn’t understand which way I could best turn my wheel to get out successfully. I got out of the car more than once to assess the angles, and even did some deep breathing. Once I got back into the car, I asked my noisy kids to give mummy some silence as I tried to think clearly. All my efforts amounted to naught. Finally, I asked for some help from a parking boy, who quickly and effortlessly backed the car out of the parking space. I turned colour in embarrassment!

Moving tummy

In my second trimester, I was giving a presentation in front of about 30 people, most of whom were male. I had worn a shirt that was tighter around my stomach due to my protruding tummy. My baby was kicking and moving so much it made my shirt move also. Everyone watched my huge belly moving all through my presentation.

Frozen remote

My husband came home ready to watch an exciting quarter final match in the just ended FIFA world cup. And just as he propped up his feet on the sofa, he couldn’t find the remote. I had just come in from the grocery shopping, when he frantically asked me where the remote was. Naturally, I said that I didn’t know, though I knew for a fact that I was the last person with it, since I had spent the day in the house. After conducting a thorough search, in the sofa and cabinets, he finally watched the game without it. Later on, he was taking out meat from the freezer, and guess what he found with the meat? The remote!! Still don’t know how I could have put it there.

Funny smell

I had a meeting with my boss early in the morning, and he turned up wearing what I thought was a whole bottle of cologne! I walked into the board room to listen to him explain a project to me, I ran past him straight into the ladies, as soon as I smelled him. Oh, I can’t believe how much I threw up!
