That twins develop a special relationship way before they are born. An Italian psychotherapist videoed twins in the womb and captured them stroking and patting each other through separate amniotic sacs.

That the youngest person ever to give birth is Lina Medina, a Peruvian girl from the Andean village of Ticrapo. She gave birth to a baby boy by  C-section on 14 May 1939 at the age of five years, seven months and 21 days. The girl’s father was initially suspected of being the father but authorities were never successful in determining who fathered the mother child’s child. Medical examination at the time of birth revealed that Lina had the ovaries of a fully mature woman. Her medical history also claimed that she had been having menstrual cycles several years before she gave birth. She had also developed breasts. Doctors theorized that her abnormal sexual maturity was a result of an extraordinary hormonal disorder of pituitary origin.

That the shortest interval between two children born to separate confinements is 208 days. Jayne Bleackley gave birth to her son Joseph Robert on 3 September 1999, and her daughter Annie Jessica Joyce on 30 March 2000 .

That during pregnancy, the average woman’s uterus expands up to five hundred times its normal size.

That fraternal twins occur about once in every 75 births, while identical twins occur once in every 400 births. And triplets occur once in every 7,700 births whereupon quadruplets happen once in every 620,000 births. Nicky Owen from England gave birth to identical twin boys, seven years later in 2003, she gave birth to fraternal twins. She herself is an identical twin. The odds are about one in 11 million.
