  • A tongue that may have deep fissures may also contribute to bad breath.

Repercussions
If gum problems are ignored, especially if you have tarter (hard stuff that forms around the teeth), the teeth support can eventually be destroyed and may shed off.

  • There is need to practice hygiene: Clean your teeth well, especially after meals and before you go to bed.
  • Eat fruits and consult a nutritionist on the best foods to eat to ensure good dental health.
  • Visit a specialist for advice in case of dental problems. There is need to have regular dental visits to ensure that your teeth are and remain strong.
  • Whenever you feel as though you cannot stand tooth- paste because your sense of smell is heightened, try to change toothpaste. In the rural areas one can even use the traditional tooth brushes. You can also try flossing teeth once in a while.
  • Taking a lot of water is also good for your dental well being.
