First Word 38

What shall the Year and I deliver?

Everything is growing, my puppy now looks like a small dog. It’s finally my friend’s son’s first day in school— the uniform makes him look like a little soldier. My skirt feels tighter. Yesterday, my prettiest blouse would not button up and my hair is two inches longer

Well, the same going for the year—if we could look at it from our perspective—pregnancy.  The year’s current small waistline is gaining size by the day. And before I know it, it will be shuffling to the labour ward to download what I have been feeding it with. I don’t want embarrassments

A wise woman enlightened that for admirable results at the end of a year, I should feed it well—lest it gets malnutrition; and with friendly portions—lest it constipates. That I need to break down my plans and resolutions in advance: Spiritual, family, health, financial, career goals, etc. and pm a date-tag onto each target, as to when it ought to get accomplished.

If I could generally share, I purpose to: Get more grounded in God this year, which calls for quality conversation with Him every loom, be more available for my family thus giving them my Sunday afternoons, do a get-away every mid-month, and go for dinner with my hubby on Valentines, take eight glasses of water daily, eat vegetables everyday—starting today, and religiously attend my clinics; re-evaluate my career progress on in February after class; triple my savings beginning 1 March…

Should I follow the above-mentioned to the letter (which is not rocket science). I do not see why the year and I will not push out bouncing results, in 9 and 8 months respectively.

Pregnant continues to show you how to be the best mum in the world, with making the best of your time. Your health, beauty, entertainment, social and love life have all been well-attended to. Let me not preempt. Turn the pages—to get more expectant

Happy delivery!
