My Due Date Experience.

Today is 5th August 2006, it is my Expected Delivery Date(EDD). Am feeling, surprisingly, very energetic. I woke up today morning and felt am on top of the world. Unlike other days, i woke up unusually, early maybe because I’m so anxious about this birth.

This is my first baby and am anxious and nervous at the same time. I don’t know what to expect, but I hopefully think that all will be well. I went to see my doctor last week on Wednesday, (Dr. Njoroge Waithaka ), and after examining me, he told me that I’m likely to have a normal delivery.

Today, I feel that my baby is kicking and playing quite energetically and it makes me so happy just to know that all is well. I’m sincerely hoping that I will deliver at noon of today or tomorrow. If nothing will have happened, my doctor advised me to go to the hospital on Monday,1st August 2006.

Right now, what is going through my mind is how the actual birth will be. I have heard many stories of labour pains and that is what I’m thinking now. I hope my husband will be there with me throughout the whole experience of labour as he has been there for me through from day one.
