Hi.

In an interview with Pregnant recently, a lady said without wincing: ‘I will never give birth again!’ When I heard this, I could not help smiling. Several years ago I had said the same thing to myself, a promise I did not keep.

Virtually every woman feels the same way after delivery. The momentarily unbearable labour pains combined with a deep sense of relief—that the pregnancy is over—leave one convinced that this definitely should be the last baby!

It is touching sentiments like these and inspiring experiences that have kept Pregnant alive. We have received unbelievably huge support from you all in East Africa over the past one year since we launched the magazine.

When we organized the first photo shoot involving pregnant ladies, an observer posed: ‘Where will you always find pregnant models for such shots?’ Well, we now have an answer. Any pregnant woman can model. Because pregnancy is beautiful, and so are all pregnant women!

With the exception of the unfortunate and despicable rape incidents that Pregnant has condemned over the past several months, every pregnant woman was admired by a man. She was beautiful in his eyes, in his mind, in his soul.

An interesting observation is that many emails we have received commending Pregnant and asking for past copies have been from men!

One reader wrote a few weeks ago saying, ‘Pregnant has answered many of my inner-most questions without my asking!’ Many others have communicated similar sentiments by SMS and email. Thank you!

Because of your warm response, the team at Pregnant has concluded that two months is too long a time for you to wait to receive new information from us.

Accordingly, Pregnant will now be produced on a monthly basis after this edition.

We trust you will find this increased frequency of Pregnant editions more entertaining and informative.
