The Joy of Birth

My Experience

Our baby is a miracle from God that’s why we named him Jadidi (swahili for determined).

When I was 28 wks, I woke up one morning andI was shocked to find out that I was bleeding. I immediately called my husband who works near home. He left the office immediately and came home shortly thereafter. I then called my pastors Kamau and Judy and my guardian parents Mr.& Mrs Mwaura Waihiga to pray for me. My husband and pastors then rushed me to my doctor Nancy Kidula at NSSF building.

She examined and found out that I was in early labour and had already dilated two cm. By then the labour pains had started, she quickly referred me to Nairobi hospital where I was admitted. I was put on medication to stop the dilation and to mature the baby’s ways in case of pre-mature delivery. I was also on total  rest for the entire period and for another month more. By God’s grace,I was able to recover fully, report back to work and carried the pregnancy to full term.
