Is it safe to have a third C-section?

Question: Is it safe to have a third C-section?

Response by Doctor ‘P’
The more Caesarian- sections you have, the higher the risk of scarring between the womb, bladder and the surrounding bowel. Although unlikely, it is possible that during C-S, the neighbouring structures can be affected.

There is also a small but significant risk of the placenta growing on the scar of the previous C-S area (placenta accrete) which can cause heavy bleeding when the placenta is removed.

It is important to see these risks in context; discuss your specific condition, fears and other arising issues with your doctor.

End. PG40/14
