Maureen Kabanya and Allan Aligula

I was admitted in hospital on 11th April 2010 at around 10am. l was already in labour but the contractions were far apart. At around 12pm the pain became unbearable, but the doctors insisted I persevere for 3 more hours. Baby Amalia Ruguru Aligula was born on 12th April at 12.10pm weighing 3.2kgs, normal delivery for which I thank God, my man Allan who was with me even in the labour ward and my parents for being there for me during the process of bringing our bundle of joy into this world.

My Experience – Sheila Ochwo
I was eight months one week gone when I went for my last clinic. It not only revealed that I had high blood pressure, but that it was too high for my baby and I. So I was induced at 10pm the same day. Three hours later, the contractions began. And I wriggled in the contractions that had no intervals for four hours. So 6am of 2 April 2010, Jerrick and I were both crying; me, of Joy, Jerrick, I guess, of surprise.
